Future of Facilities Priorities Open House

Attendees at the Future of Facilities Priorities Open House

On June 12, community members gathered at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building for the Future of Facilities Priorities Open House. This was the third of three rounds of public engagement in the Forward Together process.

An introduction was given by the leaders of each entity explaining why this process is important, what has been accomplished thus far, and the next steps for Forward Together. A brief presentation was given about what was heard at the Workshops, the big ideas that were generated, and an overview of the evening’s activity. Participants were able to view display boards that 1) provided background information about the Forward Together process, 2) shared the draft vision and goals for the plan, and 3) revealed the big ideas that have emerged from the public input this far. Participants were asked to indicate which big ideas they thought would have the biggest community impact and why as well as provide any additional comments about the big ideas.

The boards were available for viewing at the Main Library and an online survey replicating the open house activities was available through June 23. Thank you for participating and stay tuned for a summary of the results of the Open House as we begin to prepare a final plan.
